What does repentance mean?

True biblical repentance means to turn to Christ. When a person places their faith in Jesus for salvation that is repentance. Repentance and faith happens at the same time during one's salvation. Yes indeed, surely repentance and faith are inseperable at one's salvation. Read (Mark 1:15) (Luke 13,3, 5) (John 8:24) (Luke 24:47) (Acts 20:21).

Mark 1:15 (NIV) "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"

Luke 13:3,5 (NIV) I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

John 8:24 (NIV)

24I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be,[a] you will indeed die in your sins."

Acts 20:21 (NIV) I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

Luke 24:47 (NLT) Jesus said with my authority, take this message of repentance to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me.
